ADMIN DEPARTMENT:

This department is in charge of the general running and maintaining of the hospital. This department is headed by the hospital Administrator, Rev. Chukwuemeka Onuoha. Rev. Onuoha who is from Umuahia, has been with the hospital since October 2015, and is a reverend with the Methodist Church Nigeria. He over sees the overall administration of the hospital.

NURSING STATION:

This department is in charge of assisting the doctors, and seeing to the general welfare of the patients. This department is a very important one, as the nurses play a vital role in the day to day medical activities in the hospital. Aside from assisting the doctor, the patients are more or less cared for by the nurses. They make sure the patients take their medications, and are always on call to assist in any way. This department is headed by the Matron, Mrs. Eze Precious. O. Mrs. Eze is a registered nurse, as well as being a trained mid-wife.

CONSULTATION:

This department is the most important one in hospital, as a hospital cannot operate without a doctor. The patient’s complaints are heard here, illness diagnosed, and drugs prescribed here. This department is headed by the Medical Director, Dr. Chinedu Aboh. Dr. Chinedu is a qualified physician with over 6 years’ experience. He has worked in Abakiliki Federal Teaching Hospital, Kwara Hospital Management Board, and Prime Care Specialist Hospital Umuahia..

LABORATORY:

This department is always key in any competent hospital. For a patient to be properly diagnosed, more often than not, tests are run. Samples are taken, either blood, urine, stool, or even saliva swab. Our Lab is well equipped for not only for standard lab tests, but we check for tuberculosis as well as ultra-sound scanning of pregnant women. We also equipped with CD4 count machines for A.I.D.S and HIV checks, as our hospital is one of the HIV and A.I.D.S treatment centers in Abia State. We are fully recognized and approved by N.A.C.A – National Agency for Control of A.I.D.S. This department is headed by our Lab Technician, Mr. Uduma John. Mr. John is from Edda, Afikpo South L.G.A in Ebonyi State, has been with the hospital since 2014.

PHARMACY:

This department is in charge of the medication of patients. They ensure that not only are the right drugs given to the patients, but that there is no abuse or unapproved access to the hospital drugs. This department is headed by Ms. Kalu Onyinyechi Queeneth. Ms. Onyinyechi is nurse, and from Apuanu Item.
